Leadership

What makes a good leader? Is there such a thing as a natural leader? Is leadership training, experience, or a gift?

Jesus is a leader. He had followers. Peter calls Him the “…Chief  Shepherd…” (1 Peter 5:4), and the “…Shepherd and Overseer of your souls” (1 Peter 2:25).

The good leader has honesty and integrity, confidence, an ability to inspire others and bring the best out of them, possesses commitment and passion,  communicates well, can make good decisions, is accountable, can delegate and equip others, creates and innovated, and has empathy. It’s quite a list.

However, Christian leadership requires one other quality: a heart yielded to God and wholly in submission to His will. It is the foundational element.  People are starving for leadership, but they are dying without God’s leadership!
